MASTER TEACHER ROBERTO BAGNOLI

Roberto Bagnoli grew up in Rome, where he first discovered his passion for Italian folk dance. His early experiences included participating in various performances and teaching dance classes. He went on to study different forms of folk dance through workshops across Europe, Israel, and North America, learning from esteemed choreographers and teachers. Now residing in Reggio Emilia, Northern Italy, he is part of one of the most significant dance communities in the country.

From 1995 to 2003, Roberto performed as a dancer and choreographer with the Terra di Danza Dance Company. He contributed to the production of several notable works including Raggi di luna Italiana and Capriccio Italiano (focused on Italian dances), GiroGiroMondo (featuring dances from around the world), Keltic Emotion (highlighting Celtic dances), Mazal Tov (showcasing Israeli dances), and Ethnos (celebrating international folk dances).

As the founder of Folk Atelier Reggio Emilia (FARE), he is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of folk dance heritage. In his role as director, he organizes and leads folk dance workshops, bringing together both Italian and international specialists. He also oversees the performing arts sector, coordinating numerous performances, parties, and dance gatherings.

Currently, he organizes two popular dance camps in Europe: Balkanot (focusing on Balkan and Israeli dance) and Camp Yofi (dedicated to Israeli Dance).

Roberto offers weekly classes in various northern Italian cities and holds monthly sessions in Rome and Milan. He also conducts folk dance workshops and seminars throughout Europe, as well as in the United States—most notably at the Stockton Folk Dance Camp—and in Canada, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan.
