Israeli Dance Instructor Aaron Alpert
Aaron Alpert has been immersed in Israeli folk dance since before he could walk! His parents, who met at an Israeli dancing event, nurtured his passion by introducing him to dance camps like Nirkoda Le'Chayim from a young age.
Some of his formative years were spent at Brandeis-Bardin, where he participated in dance camp during the summer months from 1997 to 2008. In 2007, he began teaching the student-led UC Berkeley Israeli Folk Dance Decal Class, which was inspired by his experiences at Nirkoda Le'Chayim.
Today, he runs a high-energy weekly session called Nirkoda Le'Chayim in Palo Alto, which serves as a vibrant dance camp focused on Israeli folk dance.
He also directs an Israeli dance camp and wine tasting event called Nirkoda Ba'Kerem, which celebrates Israeli folk dance, near Fresno, California. This exciting event is scheduled to take place from December 16-19, 2021, as part of Nirkoda Le'Chayim.
